Abstract

The papper discusses the growing role of women in the Partido Popular, exploring ways of building women''s leadership, the discourse on gender and public policies implemented in autonomous regions of Madrid and Castilla La Mancha; and the cities of Madrid and Valencia. In this sense, I also explore the relationship with lobbies alike Catholic Church and some interactive media (Hazte Oir, etc). Particular attention is paid to the construction of discursive frameworks equal in appearance to legitimate regressive policies on women''s rights to tackle the crisis.
