Abstract

This communication presents the results of the collaboration teacher-students for research purposes. Initially, students had a Political Science class assignment they had to complete during their first course at the Bachelor of Law, during the 2021-2022 academic year. The assignment consisted of a gamification activity that students had to perform in groups of 3 or 4. Students were informed that the results of their assignment can be used for dissemination and publication as a scientific article when they submitted the assignment electronically, and they were given the option to refuse the use of their group assignment. No student made use of the opt out clause. After the elaboration of the article students that participated in the class assignment were offered the possibility to read the draft of the scientific article analyzing the gamification activity class assignment. The results of this review process are presented and discussed within the framework of the debate regarding students’ motivation to participate in the scientific process and also on the possibilities of using gamification in political science teaching.
