Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań is the major academic institution in Poznań and one of the top Polish universities. The University currently employs nearly 3,000 teaching staff, including 371 tenured professors and other professors with title, 1407 assistant professors, 369 senior lecturers and lecturers and over 2200 nonacademic employees. The Faculty of Political Science and Journalism (FPSJ) is one of the 20 faculties at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland. At present the Faculty has over 3,600 students divided into four majors: Political Science, International Relations, Journalism and Social Communication, and National Security (started in October 2011). The Faculty employs 98 researchers and lecturers. Many specialist classes are run by members of various editorial offices, representatives of the authorities and employees of public institutions. Every year the Faculty organizes approximately 10 international and national scholarly conferences. It issues three national scholarly periodicals: Przegląd Politologiczny [Political Science Review]; Środkowoeuropejskie Studia Polityczne [Central European Political Studies], and Rocznik Integracji Europejskiej [The Yearbook of European Integration], Studia Strategiczne [Strategic studies].
