We've put together this page to help address some of the most common queries regarding our General Conference 2023.
If you still require assistance, please contact our Events Team.
The conference programme comprises Panel sessions, Featured Roundtables, Scholarly Publishing Sessions and a keynote lecture, alongside an expo.
The Academic Programme is organised in the format of Sections, each comprising a range of Panels in a given field. The programme is broad, with Sections covering all the main areas of political science, including comparative politics, public policy and public administration, political theory, international relations and European studies.
The Open Section accepts Panel and individual Paper proposals that do not fit into any of the listed Sections and also welcomes proposals of varying formats, including roundtable-style discussions, book presentations or critique sessions.
There is a two-stage process for submitting proposals: 1) Call for Sections and 2) Call for full Panels and Individual Papers. For details, please refer to the Guidelines and Deadlines page.
Thanks to our two funding streams, you could get funded to attend our General Conference!
If your application is successful, we'll cover your registration fee, plus travel and accommodation costs if you're attending an in-person Panel.
Open to PhD students and early career scholars from ECPR Full Member institutions.
Available to individual scholars who are not eligible to apply for our standard event participant funding scheme.
Please email the Events Team with the Paper title and who should be assigned as a Presenter and who – the Co-Author. Only Papers whose Presenters have registered would appear on the Academic Programme.
Our interactive schedule is now live and can be found here. It’s now time to start earmarking everything you’d like to attend!
The format of each Panel is indicated in the programme with the following icons:
