Abstract

Whereas Kant's moral and political philosophy makes a set of important normative claims, which play a very significant role in contemporary political theory, his account at meta-theoretical level is not explored as frequently in relation to political issues. This panel brings together several papers which focus precisely on this topic. They are interested in Kant's views of truth, judgement, reason, critique, the nature of power, and the connections between these meta-normative aspects and their normative implications in areas a diverse as sincerity in politics, conspiracy theories, post-truth politics, rationality in the public sphere and state integrity.
