Abstract

“The Politics of the Eurozone” is a Section that welcomes full Panel proposals and Paper proposals on all aspects of European political economy, in particular related to euro area issues, including, but not limited to economic, fiscal, financial, and monetary governance. This includes the governance of economic and monetary union (EMU) and/or studies dealing with the intersection of EMU and other matters adjacent policy areas (social and legal issues or democracy and legitimacy issues). We are open to all theoretical and methodological orientations. We also welcome proposals that examine case studies that are more comparative in focus, i.e. that make comparisons among euro area countries or those that compare the euro area with set-ups outside the European Union (EU) as well as system level international political economy Papers. We strongly encourage full Panel proposals, ideally those with diverse compositions. Please consider adding a note stating whether you are willing to serve as Discussant or Chair for another Panel of this Section, especially if you are submitting a stand-alone Paper proposal. Anyone should not hesitate to contact the Chairs for informal inquiries.
