About

This research network connects researchers in the field of food policy and governance. We address a wide range of research topics: agricultural trade; food security; food policy; global governance; EU agricultural policies; and, the connections between food and environment, energy, water, and markets. We are particularly interested in dynamic interactions and implementation issues across policy sectors and levels, including the role of trust, multi-stakeholder platforms, and collaboration.

•    Providing a platform for researchers in the field of food policy and governance in Europe and beyond 
•    Fostering dialogue, research exchange and collaboration 
•    Stimulation of joint publication and dissemination activities

Activities within the ECPR framework

  • Organization of a yearly section at ECPR General Conferences
  • Organization of a yearly Research Network meeting at ECPR General Conferences

Internet-based activities

  • Development of a webblog
  • Establish a LinkedIn network
  • Development of social media presence, e.g. facebook, twitter and youtube
  • Online seminar series, held twice a year
  • Encourage and apromote joint publication projects (e.g. special issues)
  • Circulation of relevant information through Research Network mailing list (e.g. announcement of new plublications, calls for papers, job announcements)

Network and dissemination activities

  • Encourage and promote stand-alone workshops
  • Selected dissemination activities targeted to policy makers and practitioners
  • Develop plans for a PhD workshop/summer school
