Abstract

This panel delves into the intersections of global climate governance and justice, exploring diverse perspectives on the structural, political, and international dynamics shaping climate policies. Through a lens of inclusivity and equity, the panel examines the evolving role of middle-income countries in climate leadership, challenges in securitising climate change at international forums, the complex relationship between climate aid allocation and trade dynamics, the influence of new environmental movements on global climate justice efforts, and the potential of feminist foreign policy to reshape climate diplomacy narratives. The papers collectively contribute to the understanding of the structural factors, political processes, and international dynamics shaping climate policies. Through case studies, empirical analyses, and theoretical frameworks, the panel can feed discussions on inclusive and just approaches to addressing the challenges posed by climate change on a global scale.
