Abstract

Our investigation is guided by two central questions that are how a specific space of online participation shaped discourses and patterns about representation that emerge online and how are they translated to the offline action. I will present the case of the new online movement Citizens for Climate (in French Citoyens Pour Le Climat (CPLC). The CPLC was launched in the wake of the Paris climate march of 8 September 2018 by protestors who where eager to keep the protest ongoing and give to this protest a follow up. First, we analyse the discourses on political representation and self-mobilization then trace the movements’ transformation over the time.
