ECPR Press joins forces with Rowman & Littlefield International

We are pleased to announce that from 1 June 2017 ECPR Press enters into a new partnership with publishers Rowman & Littlefield International (RLI).

Since the ECPR's establishment in 1970, publishing research in political science and political thought has been one of our key activities, initially through journals for the profession, and subsequently with the launch of several specialised book series in collaboration with academic publishers.

Our in-house imprint ECPR Press now publishes original research from leading political scientists and the best young scholars in the discipline. Its scope extends to all fields of political science, international relations and political thought, without restriction in approach or regional focus.

Rowman & Littlefield International, based in London, is an innovative and fast-growing academic publisher in the humanities and social sciences. It is affiliated with Rowman & Littlefield, based in Washington DC, which recently marked its 40th anniversary as a leading US independent publisher. Political science is a key area of focus within its own publishing, on both sides of the Atlantic.

Commenting on the new publishing partnership, ECPR Chair Rudy Andeweg said: 'We are proud that ECPR Press, which we launched in 2005, has gained such a prominent position in disseminating high quality work in political science, and we are very pleased that it will gain new impetus through this important publishing partnership. The ECPR team and membership look forward to working with the RLI team to develop our publishing.'

Oliver Gadsby, Chief Executive of RLI, added: 'We are pleased and excited to be entering into this new publishing partnership with ECPR. We have been very struck by the depth of connections and research across the ECPR network, and we look forward to the next stage of development for ECPR Press. We will be working closely with the ECPR Editorial Board and team to support the current programme and expand the publishing, which will continue to be of the highest quality in its authorship and selection of titles. We will bring to bear our editorial, digital, production, sales and marketing teams in London and Washington to ensure that ECPR Press authors reach the widest possible readership around the world.'
