ECPR Press welcomes a new Associate Editor

ECPR Press is delighted to welcome Andrew Glencross to its editorial team.

Andrew, who joins the four-strong team as one of two Associate Editors, taught at the Universities of Pennsylvania, Aberdeen and Stirling before moving in January of this year to his current role as Senior Lecturer in the Department of Politics and International Relations at Aston University in Birmingham.

Andrew's research interests include EU integration, Brexit, and international relations theory, and he has published widely on these topics in peer-reviewed journals, among them the Journal of European Integration, International Relations, The Political Quarterly, International Affairs and the Journal of European Public Policy. His books include:

Why the UK Voted for Brexit: David Cameron’s Great Miscalculation (Palgrave Pivot, 2016)

The Politics of European Integration: Political Union or a House Divided? (Wiley 2014).

Speaking about his appointment, Andrew told us, 'I’m tremendously pleased to be joining the team. ECPR Press provides a unique outlet for the best of political science to reach an international audience, and to shape policy debates and academic research'.

Over on Andrew's personal website, you can also read his occasional blogposts.

Goodbye and thank you to Alexandra Segerberg

As Andrew takes up his new role, it's time to bid farewell to Alex Segerberg (Stockholm University) who has served the Press first as Associate Editor (2011–2014), then as full Editor (2014–2017).

Since joining the Press, Alex (pictured here speaking at an event in Montreal to launch the 2015 Press title Indigenous Politics) has worked closely alongside fellow editors Dario Castiglione and Peter Kennealy and, more recently, with Ian O'Flynn and Laura Sudulich, to maintain the Press's reputation as one of the leading academic publishers in the field of political science.

Alex, whose personal research interests include political theories of collective action, has presided over the commissioning and editing of many important Press publications during her tenure, including Bosi, Ó Dochartaigh & Pisoiu's Political Violence in Context and Della Porta & Mattoni's Spreading Protest: Social Movements in Times of Crisis.

All at ECPR Press would like to extend their sincere thanks to Alex for her enthusiasm and outstanding achievements over the past six years.
