Since joining the editorial team in 2019, Maurits Meijers, who is Assistant Professor of Political Science at Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen, has greatly contributed to advancing PDY’s content, supporting its authors and enhancing the production process. He has also provided critical insight as to the future of the Yearbook and its potential as an online data source.
‘Working as a Data Editor for the Political Data Yearbook has been a real pleasure. As Editor, I have had the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of political developments in the 37 countries currently included in the Yearbook and I have thoroughly enjoyed working in close concert with the diverse group of scholars who contribute to the Yearbook, from all around the world.
During my tenure, my collaboration with my Co-Editors, Alistair Clark and Thomas Mustillo has always been smooth and goal-oriented. Together we have thoroughly revamped our data collection method and streamlined the production and publication process.
This has been a great experience for me to gain hands-on experience in academic publishing and to take my first steps as lead editor. As such, I look back on my time at the PDY with pride and satisfaction.'
ECPR wishes to both thank Maurits for his excellent work and wish him all the best for the future.
