As a PhD student at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland, my research interests include conceptual history, political theory and philosophy as well as security studies. In my dissertation I am examining the concept of internal security in a modern state, focusing on the Hegelian premises of the state of Finland and the building of a state in juxtaposition to the liberal concepts of freedom and security.
